Possibly one of the biggest classics in all of Zombie Escape, Death Star Escape is a ze map based on the popular Star Wars series, and in my opinion one of the best early maps ever made for the mod, and one of the best maps by Freeze himself. I can’t possibly count the amount of houres I spent in this map back in the older days when ZE was relatively new for Source, and I’ve really enjoyed it every single time I played it. Using mostly stock assets from the engine, Freeze captured the Star Wars theme very well, and balanced the map over time so its gameplay would be completely streamlined and perfected in every single aspect.

I also like how Unloze enabled failnades on purpose to respect the functionality of the map at the time, bringing back this nostalgic feeling of playing on this map.

Overall a must-have played if you want to call yourself the ultimate Zombie Escape veteran!
