Fright Stimulator E01: The Tunguska Event

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a videogame that uses map data and satellite imagery to simulate the entire earth, at scale. These are true stories told through the lens of its uncanny and surreal virtual world.

Episode 01 – The Tunguska Event

In 1908 an extraterrestrial object estimated to be as large as a 747 and possibly bigger, entered earth’s gravitational pull and dove towards Russia. The object exploded in earth’s atmosphere. The resulting shockwave registered at 5.0 on the Ricther scale, producing an air burst strong enough to decimate a massive metropolis.
