Watch the Donkey Kong Bananza Direct full presentation, which aired on June 18, 2025. Donkey Kong Bananza is an upcoming 3D action open-world adventure developed by Nintendo. After Donkey Kong and Pauline are stuck in the Underground World, Donkey Kong embarks on an adventure to reach salvation.

Players can explore the world as the one and only Donkey Kong to manipulate the surroundings through the use of abilities like Tear Off, Swing, Chunk Jump, and more to destroy specific materials. Make good use of Donkey Kong’s Bananza abilities to run at increased speeds and even fly temporarily. Find Bananzian Gems across the adventure by searching closely or completing challenges that will test Donkey Kong’s abilities.

Make use of the game’s Photo Mode to capture a variety of different shots of Donkey Kong along the journey to share with friends and family. Assist Mode is also available to offer a more streamlined and approachable way for anyone to enjoy Donkey Kong Bananza. The game will also support amiibo, with a brand new amiibo coming soon featuring Donkey Kong and Pauline.

Donkey Kong Bananza is launching July 17 for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside a new Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo.
