South of Midnight review: developer Compulsion Games has properly brought the rich folklore of the American South to a new, wider audience. South of Midnight tells a heartfelt story about a girl and her mother. Its decent combat and platforming are elevated by stellar visual and musical presentation, resulting in a game I can’t stop smiling about.

South of Midnight is out now and available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
