Alien: Earth is bringing the plural Aliens back to the franchise with a menagerie of new extra terrestrial life. It’s not quite like James Cameron chucking dozens of xenomrophs at us through the air ducts, but Noah Hawley and the team behind the new FX series joined IGN to talk about the kind of grotesque feeling he wanted to evoke with the latest creepy-crawly additions to the Alien franchise. 

Hawley breaks down the design of these new creatures, from the real world inspirations, to managing the contribution of HR Giger, Ridley Scott and David Fincher, and how to protect the iconic silhouette of the xenomorph from an eyeball octopus.
