A cool surf map for CS1.6 Zombie Escape that is a remake of the surf_facility series on CS:S by Motanum. It’s a nice adaptation in the sense of visuals, because it feels very similar to the original and follows the different stages therein very closesly.

It’s also supposed to be not nearly as impossible as it is portrayed in the video, because the server settings in the Dark Professional server are set so that zombies spawn at the moment they find themselves in the map, rather than being teleported back to spawn, like in the original.

Therefore we weren’t ever able to win the map, no matter what. Also, I literally became a motherzombie three times in a row, which is baffling, because normally the rules of Zombie Mod and Escape are that no single player can become a motherzombie in the next round, if he became a motherzombie in the current round.

Anyways, it’s a great map, and under the right circumstances, also a lot of fun!

GAMEPLAY MODE: Zombie Escape

Zombie Escape is a Source Mod that runs in CS, CS:S and CS:GO. The goal is to escape as a team (CT’s) from the infected (T) that get randomly chosen each round. During the escaping attempt, random and fixed events may happen that reward special items to aid in pushing back the zombies. If the team succeeds in surviving, they win and the zombies are slayed.

If the opposite is true, all humans will become infected and all hope is lost! Make sure to bring good teamwork to the table as you’ll need it to overcome some of the harder challenges such as boss battles and giant zombie hordes.
