Helldivers 2 is good—like, really good. But that comes with a cost.
Helldivers 2’s popularity leads to server overload, with players unable to join public matches for days.
Now it looks like players are staying logged in to dodge the queues,
taking advantage of a lack of an AFK bouncer to show them the door.
Arrowhead’s CEO acknowledges the problem on Twitter, hinting at a possible fix
And continues to use an open channel of communication when talking to their fans so far.
The lack of an AFK timer at launch, a hindsight issue, now seems necessary for server stability.
